How many times did you start a fitness routine, only to drop it a few weeks later? Even if you hold on to it for a few extra months, if you're not an athlete, a gym addict, or a sports fan, you're likely to give up exercising at the first bump.
We hear you. But let's see things under a new light. What if you have chosen the wrong fitness routine? Maybe you're avoiding crowded gyms - who can blame you in COVID-19 times - or you're simply bored of doing the same workout over and over again.
Don't despair, here are some quick tips to help you find your fitness match and get you active again
Go Outside. If you're putting off exercising or feeling stuck at the gym, go outside. Take a walk around the block. Explore the neighborhood near your job. If you're able, go for a quick bike ride. Just give yourself a new perspective.
Call a Friend. Workout time doesn't have to be alone time. In fact, make it your social time. Find yourself a fitness partner, call them up, and enjoy a good chat while keeping fit. If one of you has a gym membership, try guest memberships or free trials.
Reverse your Routine. If you're happiest with a set routine and just want to make a tiny change, try turning it around. Reverse your walking route or your gym circuit. It works your physical and mental muscles differently!
Try those tips and let us know how they work out for you. We'd also love to hear about how you keep your own fitness routine interesting.
